Kangra is the district of Himachal Pradesh. It is the state of India. This place of Himachal Pradesh is a very famous tourist place in India. And it is the largest district of the Himachal in area wise.

Kangra Fort is one of the famous places in this district.

This Place is located in the western hemisphere of the Himalayas. In this district, there are many tourist destinations like Dharamshala, the most popular place Mcleod ganj is also situated in Dharamshala and it is also the official residence of Dalai lama. There is a waterfall situated in dharmshala name Bhagsunaag waterfall. this waterfall is situated at a high altitude. In this district there is a famous fort called Kangra fort, this fort is known for Katoch Dynasty. And the king of fort Name was Raja Hari Chand, he known for their kindness. There are many holy temples situated there like Jawalji, Bajeshwari, Chamunda, Baijnath,  Baglamuki, etc. This place is also famous for its hilly views.

There is many big market in the district. Mostly Kangri language speak their in local. which is somewhat similar to Dogri Language. This place is connected to many districts of Himachal Pradesh like Una, Hamirpur, Kullu, Mandi. This is the largest district of Himachal area wise. And I know very well about this place because I am also from this place. Dharamshala is also located there. In Dharamshala, there are many places to visit for tourists. I Love this district very much. This place is one of the most famous tourist destinations in India. this place is placed at a very high altitude from sea level. In Kangra valley, there are both Kacha and Packa houses.


There are some houses which are also made of wood some houses are made up of mud. There are many small and big villages in this district. And state  Education board office of Himachal Pradesh is also situated in their Dharamshala of Himachal Pradesh. And there is a national college of Sanskrit is also situated in district Kangra of Himachal Pradesh. There is a tracking place name Triund tracking area where any can do track.  It is located in Dharamshala of this district and there is a paragliding point in Dharamshala.

1  Jawala Ji

This temple is known for its regular burning flame on water. In ancient times king Akbar of the Mughal empire.  He tried to extinguish the fire but he fails, he tries lots of different methods but in practice, no one works seriously. after failure he decides to gift a chatter(made up of many types of metals) to the temple. Akbar decided to put an iron disk on the flames of Jawalji. Due to their spirituality and their history, this place is one of the most famous tourist places in Himachal Pradesh.


2   Bajeshwari temple

This temple is situated in the main bazaar of Kangra. Bajeshwari temple is not well known

by its name. but this temple make a big name in history. Muslim leader Mohannad Gazini Has an attacker on this temple during their attack he destroys the temple completely after that temple made again in 1905. this temple is known ancient history.


3  Chamunda Ji

Chamunda is also known as Chamundeshwari Devi temple. She was the Hindu divine mother Parvati. this temple is situated on Palampur road.


4  Baijnath

It is a town in district Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. Baijnath is around  50 kilometers away from Dharamshala. It is an ancient temple of lord shiva, on the name of this temple a town situated there. Baijnath is located at 32.05.N 76.65 E. The average elevation of it is 998 meters { 3274 feet} In the Dhauladhar range it is a small township in the western Himalayas. It is 16 km away from Palampur in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Baijnath is also related to Ravana.  Baijnath is a tourist destination it is around 51  km from Kangra. along Baijnath there are many other temples in Baijnath of other shrines so it is a tourist destination.


5    Baglamukhi

Baglamukhi is known as Begala [devnagri ]  it is known as Tantrik in Hinduism. it is one of the ten forms of wise Devi. It is dedicated to the temples maa Baglamukhi or Bagla Devi.

This place is the piece Land of gods. the river Beas which flows from Kangra valley it is a green place of beauty. Himachal is known as dev bhumi because of this famous place. This place has many religious and spiritual place

There is a famous art museum. In Palampur, there is an agriculture college.
