Pana was born on 25 September 1990 in Rohtak, Haryana, India. Sapna belongs to a middle class Jat family. When she was born, her aunt named her ‘Sushmita’ after the Indian beauty pageant and actress Sushmita Sen.
Her father worked in a private company. At the age of 12, she lost her father. After the death of her father, the responsibility of running her family fell on her shoulders.
