Shane Warne is a former Australian cricketer who is regarded as the greatest leg spinner in the history of cricket. Shane Warne was one of the best spinners ever produced by the game of cricket. He died of a heart attack on 4 March 2022 in Thailand.
Warne was a right-arm leg break bowler. He breathed new life into the bowling style of leg spin, which was dying, and made it an integral part of the game.
His ball which dodged Mike Gatting in 1993 is considered to be the greatest ever bowled in the game of cricket.
He was the highest wicket-taker (708) in Test cricket till December 2007, which was later captured by Sri Lankan bowler Muttiah Muralitharan.
He has been named the Wisden Cricketers of the Year twice in the Wisden Cricketers Almanack and has also been voted the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World twice.

Shane Warne was born on 13 September 1969. He hails from Upper Ferntree Street, a suburb of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. His father’s name was Keith Warne and mother’s name was Bridget Warne. He also had a younger brother in his family named Jason Warne.

He made his international debut on 2 January 1992 in a Test match against India. He has taken 607 wickets in 263 innings of 145 Tests. He also scored 12 half-centuries in 199 innings in the lower order.
The best bowling figures in his innings were 7/81. He scored the highest 99 runs in his Test career against New Zealand. He retired from international cricket in 2006 after playing his last Test against England.
He was the highest wicket-taker in Test history until Muralitharan overtook him on 3 December 2006.
