Gulzari Lal ji was born in Silaikote, Punjab (Pakistan). His father’s name was Bulaki Ram Nanda and his mother’s name was Ishwar Devi Nanda. He belonged to a Hindu Punjabi family. His early education was done in Lahore, Agra and Amritsar. And higher education was completed from ‘Formen Christian College’ of Lahore and University of Allahabad.
